During this time of Coronavirus uncertainty, and with more and more people having to self isolate, and being confined in their homes for what could be months on end, why not take the opportunity to learn to play a musical instrument, and have some social contact at the same time?

I have been providing online lessons for several years now, as well as my normal in home lessons for all ages.

Sadly, I have had to make the decision to suspend in home lessons, out of consideration for my students, their families and myself.

The upside is, that it frees up more time for online lessons. :-)

I teach people of all ages, from complete beginners, to seasoned players, or those who just need a few pointers in the right direction from time to time.

Below, you will find more information on how the lessons work, and how to contact me for more information.

Please feel free to email me, with any questions, or special requirements you may have.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes,
Rob

What is Zoom or Skype?

They are both free programs that allow users anywhere in the world, to make voice and video calls between computers, completely free of charge.
Click on the 'Zoom' or 'Skype' logo at the top of this page for more information.

Most people are more familiar with Skype, than Zoom, but Zoom is fast becoming the platform of choice for online music teachers, as it's audio quality is better suited to musical instruments than Skype, which is optimised for speech only.

What do I need?

All you need, is a computer, a broadband connection, the free Zoom or Skype program,a microphone and web camera.
Also a Paypal, or internet banking account.

What will I get?

Your own, individual, private lesson. I will provide any teaching materials you need, piano music sheets, guitar tabs, chord diagrams, etc, which I will send to  you before, during, or after the lesson, via email.

You may prefer to use the material of your choice, perhaps a book that you are already using, or feel free to request help with any song or piece that you wish to learn.
After all, these are your lessons.

How does it work?

First things first!
When you click HERE to notify me of your interest in online lessons, (and I have answered any questions you may have,) I will arrange with you, to carry out a free test call, just to make sure that everything is up and running as it should be.
Please state which lessons interest you, e.g.
Guitar, Piano, or Keyboard.

Then....

Once we have agreed a mutually convenient time for the lesson, and you have made the Paypal payment ( this is strictly 'pay as you go'
there is absolutely no requirement to pre-pay for a block of lessons)
I will call you, and the lesson will begin.

How much does it cost?

(For lessons within Australia, payment by bank transfer is preferred)

Each half hour, one on one, personal lesson, is $25 Australian dollars.
